There's a reason this place is called Hammerman's. The craftsmen who gave the venue its name — goldsmiths, blacksmiths, silversmiths, clockmakers — built Golden Square itself in the early 1800s. The streets that surround us are named after their trade: Crown Street, Silver Street, Diamond Lane, Ruby Place. This neighbourhood has been shaped by people who took their craft seriously.
